R55 Who has modded their JCW Clubbie?
Necessary? - No
Fun? - Yes
Addicting? - Probably
The JCW Clubman from the factory is a fantastic car. Most fun car I have ever driven (list is long).... Then you start reading NAM and other sites - and start thinking: "Oh... I WANT that too"....
Enjoy you car as is. Take it to a Car Control Clinic; do an HPDE. You'll have a blast. (Learn the handling dynamics - especially the: 'from the factroy dialed-in understeer'; and try to get the car to bring the back end around a bit with judicious throttle changes mid corner.)
Then - if you want more... it's out there.
I think most people agree: best 1st mod is an adjustable Rear Sway Bar. The softest after-market bar on the softest setting changes the performance of the car = grin inducing.
These are great machines. No matter your driving style - you will be fulfulled. Track junkies will probably mod the most. If the car is mostly a Daily Driver with a few spirited corners and on-ramps - you don't need to do anything. Then - there is everything in between...

Actually ... I probably should have taken not of your sign-in name first....
If "Autoxser1975" is any indication - then you probably know more than I do about understeer/oversteer/throttle-steer...
Get a bigger RSB - even if you already have the JCW suspension (it's 18.5mm in the back - and obviously not adjustable). JCW springs are good. Others can be better. If you want more power - consider an RMW tune.

Thanks for the info Zephyr. I'll have to google RMW tune. I've already upgraded wheels and tires and am purchasing springs too. BTW which Konig wheels did you buy. I own the Lace wheels. I've really been checking out the Alta website alot. Tons of goodies.
Alta is great...
www.waymotorworks.com also great
www.revolutionmotorworks.com is the sire for the RMW Tune
And - for RMW tune info - check these threads:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...lash-tool.html
and
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...k-into-it.html
I can't remember the name of the Konigs I purchase... Unfortunately - they went out of production (so I better not ding one). They are not on my signature picture... I'll have to update that as soon as I put on the Springs that are in the mail - and I go back to the summer tires.
Sounds like you're having fun!

I purchased an Alta 22MM RSB too. Gonna have it installed with the springs. I've also been lurking the For Sale section on here and found a few more bits I'd like to have. But next performance mod will probably be an Alta CAI. Next year definitely gonna have to get an Accessport.
