Cross overs and door speakers on '09 base system...

Ok, POLK's should be in tomorrow. Question: are the speaker lines going to the bottom speaker in the door the main line for the cross-over input? Didn't know how they were wired with the top speaker in the door? Trying to get my ducks in a row b/f doing the swap...Figured the bottom were main to plug into input on the cross-over and then the top lines would remain disconnected, as the out from the POLK cross-over would feed the new tweeters...

If you have the Base Audio System (no tweeters in the a-pillars) then the front door speakers are wired in parallel so either set would be okay to use but don't use both.

as I do not have a R57 I can not verify for sure. but I do not think that there is any part of the convertible top that goes down behind the speakers. so if that is the case then there should be no problems with a standard aftermarket 5.25" speaker fitting there.
