trying to make sense of your writing is a challenge....but

you can start by removing the HKS BOV...its no help and completely unnecessary (and prob the cause of your problem)

then since you have an AP, using the live data logging feature to monitor the stock diverter valve...you will be able to see if its activating or not. Choose "BPV Act."

Under warranty still? Any OBDII codes to report? I would think there would be some type of message that described the boost going out of control

Wouldn't that have more to do with the internal waste gate not functioning properly? If the Diverter was stuck open you would clearly hear a hissing when your turbo spooled up.

Well it will say "OFF" for most of the time, except when its being activated. For example, accelerate for a little bit then lift off, and it should switch to "ON", if it still says OFF during the throttle lift off...that is your issue.

The OP stated he isn't building boost at all, so it would be stuck open. it sounds like you have a turbo/waste-gate issue.

It's OK to drive the car without boost, it just won't have punch when accelerating. I assume you have an engine lamp on the tach?

Most likely there is a tear on the diaphragm (yellow boot) within the diverter valve. Remove the diverter, pull the face off if you can't see a tear from the outside easily. Are you producing more than 19psi? If so it's likely to happen again.

Don't see anywhere where he said that...he just said he doesn't hear pressure being released.....

IF a diverter valve is stuck open, you say it should make a hissing noise while spooling? How can you determine that sound from just the regular turbo spool noise. Sorry for the hijack, but i fear i might have this problem.

Thank you for pointing that out; I misinterpreted the "NO pressure" statement the first time read.

The OEM diverter valve won't stick in the traditional sense. The early model Forge BPV without the extra nipple can stick.

the engine lamp isnt on jsut the check engine light but i cleared that with the alta AP.
i am not producing more than 19 psi although i wish. i am producing, around.. 15. but thats just with the reflash not a actual tune. my map that i have is stage 0. since all mini ecu's are different, they had to make a map for the AP to work in the first place. but i uninstalled the ap to see if it would make any difference, but it didnt so i reinsatlled it to do the BOV test.

Hay, if you are building boost, and when you take your foot off the peddle and you keep your boost, stop driving your car. That is a quick way to mess things up.

You will throw a cell, but someone out there makes a block off plate for the diverter valve. Get that and block it off. Then get the HKS, you should buy the exhaust depot hard pipe kit while you are at it.
