offset for the stock 16" bridge spoke wheel?

Anyone know the offset dimension for the stock 16" bridge spoke wheel.
(It's on a 2008 Clubman S, if it matters.)
I'm looking at getting new wheels and my "car-guy" buddy warned me to match the same offset.
The new offset is 40mm. The wheel shop said it would fit my car.

Thanks!

+48mm...... Good luck finding any aftermarket wheels that match exact.

OE Wheels: 16 x 6.5 x +48mm offset

How about some Rota RB's.....

Should the change from 48mm to 40mm make any difference?

The Rota's are more expensive that I'm willing to go.

Nope, excellent fit. I run 16x7 40mm offset. On a 16x7 rim, a 40mm offset adds 2mm inner clearance and adds 14mm (about 1/2") to the outside. If a 16x6.5, then it's 8mm more inner clearance, and adds 8mm to the outside.

You can trust a 16x7 40 is a very good fit.
