What happens when I flick the DSC toggle switch? Does it only disable the steering assist or does it disable all of the electronic assists (ABS and the other 3 letter names that I can't remember)? I know that with it off I can spin the tires till my hearts content but I'm not sure what else it does.

Turning off DSC turns off the traction control and the system that kills power to the engine when wheel slip is detected. ABS is NOT disabled when you disable DSC. I'm *not* sure about whether the Corner Brake Control is diabled though.

Good question, also what do the two different directions do (up and down). Are they different? Can you hold it in one spot for a few seconds to fully diaable everything (you can in BMWs).

They select two options -- ON and MOReON. Seriously -- flick one way and it disables, the other way turns DSC back on. You know which you are in because the yellow idiot light is ON when DSC is turned OFF.

When the light is off (DSC ON) you may see the light flash when the tires can't get good bite. When that happens, DSC throttles the engine power back. For me, when DSC is on and the pavement is wet, it is maddening to pull away from a stop and into a turn (like a turn from a stop sign) and have it feel like the engine just broke
