17x7 with 40mm offset and 215/45-17 - will it fit?
I am looking to pick up some O.Z. Ultraleggeras locally that are 17x7 with a 40mm offset. I recently put on 215/45-17 Conti DWS on my stock rims and prior to purchasing the O.Z. wheels I'd like to ensure they fit without rubbing.
Is anyone running this setup? Any rubbing?
Thanks,
Todd

They should fit fine. I run 215/45/17's on the stock S-Lites as well and the 17x7 ET40 wheel is only 3/8" further out than the S-Lites. Should be fine. For what it's worth I've got a set of wheels on their way from ESM that are the same specs as your OZ's, and I'm wrapping them in 215/45/17 Conti DWS tires. I'll have them mounted up mid week and I'll be able to tell you for sure once that happens.
It it will be taller and wider than stock but using stock suspension you will be OK. No rubbing
It can be a problem with mild rubbing in back on the wheel arch plastic if you drop your suspension.

I have those wheels and the same tire size and NM springs which lowered approximately 1.2" on my Clubman. I do get some slight rubbing over larger bumps or with adult passengers in the back.
I would think that w/o lowering springs that you wouldn't rub at all. But even if you did it would be so minor.
