Who is on the vessel Florida Highway??

Looks like I have almost 2 more weeks until it hits Georgia, but exciting to have it finally en-route and have a vessel name.

Just talked to the dealership and was told that my MCS is also on the Florida Highway and is scheduled to dock at SSI on 3/9!
In honor of the Florida Highway (caution, language).

I'm jealous. My car is still in Bremerhaven, hopefully getting on one of the boats leaving on Thursday.

Thats two headed for the ATX!!! Where did you find the arrival date of 3/9? My screen shot from mini of austin shows 3/12 estimated. These darn K-Line boats aren't as trackable as the W&W ones are...

If you look down the list under Florida Highway to Brunswick you'll see the arrival date. It is now listed for 10MAR as actual arrival date (there is an E for estimated or A for actual). Once it changes to A from E, it should be the true date.

Ryan -
Got this from my MA earlier this week:

Port of Exit:
PO BH
BREMERHAVEN PORT OF EXIT
Actual:
2/25/11

VPC/Warehouse Arrival:
VP BU
BRUNSWICK VPC
Est. Arrival:
3/9/11

Not sure if it has been updated since then - hopefully we haven't slipped to a 3.12 arrival in Brunswick.

Tracking the Florida Highway

The Florida Highway is now off Virginia Beach making 9.4 knots toward Baltimore. The info is about a minute old now and was just updated again to show 9.5 knots! Seems like the closer it is to US shores or inland waterways the reporting frequency increases.

I found this site that has been updating the ships position regularly.

Have fun

LOVE this site... It's addicting to see how many ships are out in the water!

Grayducks, that's hysterical that you found that. I won't be checking it, though , nope, not once.

Ryan - great news on the early delivery. That's a nice surprise. Looks like 8-10 days from getting off the boat to delivery in Austin?? Maybe I'll only be a week behind you. Have fun picking yours up this week. A true blue with black roof just drove by my office window 10 minutes ago. That is only the second one I have seen in ATX.

Ducks - Great link - I may have to keep that one open on my desktop for the next 3 days.

Just got a bit of bad news... My advisor gets an F! He fumbled up some of the numbers and was looking at the wrong vehicle. I thought it was a miracle, but really was a misread.. Looks like we are coming on the same truck to ATX after all... Our cars will be buds on the Waggoners truck! He said the ones that docked last week showed up today. So it looks like transport to dealer happens pretty fast.

I just saw my first CM here yesterday, up on 360 and westlake drive, it was royal gray..I've been watching like a hawk when I'm out driving... We will be among the few in not so many days!!!! WOOT!!!!

Ryan - That's frustrating. Hopefully we can both pick-up next week.

The Good News: Florida Highway left Baltimore yesterday and is heading south.

The Bad News?: I'm a little worried after checking the Week 5ers thread. Looks like a bottle neck in the Georgia VDC. Have you heard anything about this from your MA?

I'm being positive, ours are "sold" units and should get priority.. So next week is what I am planning on...

SAIL_ATX, our CM is one of the week 5 builds. We just got a call from our MA that it is on a truck on it's way to Atlanta. We don't have it yet, but it's getting close...

Destination: BRUNSWICK
ETA: 2011-03-09 10:00
Info Received: 2011-03-08 08:40 (1d, 12h 31min 0s ago)

The Florida Highway has not reported a position since leaving the Chesapeake Bay over 36 hours ago. The ETA to Brunswick was today at 10am - but is still showing that it is not in range. Any chance the Marine Traffic site does not cover the Brunswick Port and our ship has actually come in? Can only hope.

BoCRon - the way I read the K-Line schedule (which hasn't been updated since 3.3) is that the Florida Hwy is scheduled to depart Brunswick on 3.10

I'm thinking it's in port or waiting to get in port. I don't think it's supposed to depart Brunswick on the 10th because if that's the case it would have departed Baltimore on the 7th and I don't think it did.

2011-03-08 00:00 FLORIDA HIGHWAY Departure BALTIMORE
2011-03-07 08:58 FLORIDA HIGHWAY Arrival BALTIMORE

On the Marine Traffic site - Florida Hwy departed Baltimore at midnight on 3.08 - BUT this site uses a standard time zone of UST (or Greenwich Mean Time) -which is 5 hours ahead of EST. So I do think it left port on 03.07 in all US time zones - but still 03.08 on their schedule.

Marine Traffic showed ETA for Brunswick of 03.09 10:00 (05:00 EST). It still is showing Not In Range. And no update for over 2 days. I am guessing the Brunswick Port is not covered by this system. Has any one heard anything from their MA?

I realize I am just trying to figure out ways to will the time to pass faster.

Just got back from the dealership. (Hubby went to pick up his new Countryman, YAY!).
According to his daily, the Florida is in port at Brunswick but has not off-loaded as of yet.

From the info I am getting from my MA - mine is off the boat and on a truck. Should be in ATX this week.

Ryan - are you getting the same info?
