Anyone else waiting for better weather to drive their new MC(S)?

I know it's silly, but I don't want it to get dirty.

Ok, so yesterday it rained... then the wind picked up, gusting to 60mph. The RAM 2500 sat in the driveway, and the MINI went for PIZZA. I parked on a glare ice parking lot. Got out of the car, and nearly fell on my arsh. The mini handled the poor weather bad.

I understand your reluctance to drive it in the bad weather, and even identify with it... but it handles it nicely

Have snow tires, will travel.

Mine's a daily driver. But it does get regular baths.

Right, just wash it, they clean up really well Driving is way more enjoyable than just seeing it a little dirty. Of course I live in North Carolina so the weather isn't quite so bad here. Although I will say I picked up my car in December and drove here everyday. They are just too much fun to let sit in a garage, IMHO.

Snow tires all around are a necessity in winter conditions for any car.

I don't think it is silly at all. I wish I could avoid all bad weather with my car!

Getting it dirty would be the least of my problems, so I will keep it in the garage until about the end of March or middle of April to keep the blasted salt gremlins from eating my car. Crazy winter drivers are bad enough.

I drive mine everyday, weather doesn't make a difference. We got 10 inches of snow in about 6 hours on Friday, didn't stop me!

My JCW is not new. It's a 2009 and its got about 23k miles on it. Its mostly been in my garage all winter for a number of reasons:

1- I have other cars to drive.
2- I plan on keeping it for a long time so I would rather not get into another accident with it especially in the winter with the snow and ice.
3-Living in the NYC area, I would rather keep all the salt and grime off the car.

Having said that... I can't wait for spring .
