I was under my car earlier today installing my NM discharge pipe when I noticed something hanging, unattached, near the front control arm (see crappy photo, the arm on the right with the empty whole where a screw used to be - 05 in the diagram).

Researching it I think it might be the level sensor (01 in the diagram):

However, researching it further I can't seem to determine what that does. Maybe it's the level for the Xenon lights?

I there a cross-reference somewhere that defines what these parts do?

 

DUH, I just answered my own question. The title says it all:

HEADLIGHT VERTICAL AIM CONTROL SENSOR
