How deep is the boot?

I looked at a Countryman tonight, appears there is a false floor, I could not seem to be able to pry it up, then again, there was a bunch of stuff on top of the cover..... is there a false floor with the spare under it? Pics anyone?

Check out Post #24 in that first page above. No spare tire on the Countryman.

Oh dear, I read this subject title and thought we were getting into a question about how much you can stuff into the boot...and then quickly checked my URL to make sure this was still a family friendly site!

This, then, would be the ghetto rap version.

I'm new to the forum and am hoping to get some advice from new CM owners. Is the boot large enough for a set of golf clubs? How many avg size suitcases? I am in the market for a new vehicle and, prior to the CM, couldn't really consider a Mini with a family of four. Would love to join the the Mini family but would like some real world advice/input before I can put it at the top of my list.

Certainly with 1 of the seats folded down. Without folding 1 of the seats, you might be able to angle a bag up and sideways to get it to fit. I suspect you could only get 1 set of clubs in there. I suppose this would be necessary if you were taking 3 people to watch you golf.

You can easily stand up 2 carry-on bags and have room for another small bag.

You really need to go look at one. At first I thought our 2 dogs (55 and 70 lbs) could ride in the boot. After I looked at the CM a second and third time I began to doubt whether they'd fit. In fact, they don't fit with the back seats up.

Does it help any to have the back seats slid as far forward as they will go? Does that make any difference? I just have one, barely 50 lb, dog and was hoping he'd fit

I'd bet he'd fit. I tried the 70 pounder and he didn't fit.

I'm just sitting here biting my tongue. I swear, I'm not going to say it about man's best friend.

I've got 3 x 25 and 1 x 40. They never travel together, so I'll be OK.

If you are concerned, don't be afraid to bring the goods/dogs/whatever to the dealership and ask to fit it in. I needed a car that would fit my bike. I brought it with me, and it fits in the countryman really nicely. It barely fit in the clubman -- a key reason I bought the countryman.

That's one of the several reasons I'm switching out of my M3. I didn't take my bike to the test drives, but since I manage to fit my bike in the M3, I didn't think to do so. How do you put your bike in the CM?

Great advise! Thanks a bunch.

Everytime I see the title of this thread I think of that BeeGee's song "How deep is your love" .

I like it. The next CM commercial should be something like this...

How many people can you cram in the boot ?

I take the front wheel off with the quick release, then straight on easy peasy.
