Astro Black A25/9?
Astro Black A25/9?
I have a 2006 MCS Astro Black A25/9.
I want to Joey mod the headlights and the chrome rings the same color as my car. I ordered some touch up paint from http://www.automotivetouchup.com. They do not have any under the 06 only for 07 and up. I was wondering if the Astro Black changed from the 06 to 07 models? The paint I received is pretty much pure black with no hints of blue and does not color match. Anyone know where I can get some paint do get the job done?

Unsure whether the code changed, but I doubt it. Body style changes do not necessarily command paint code changes. Here's a list of codes on Sunshine MINI's forum: http://www.sunshineminis.org/forums/...p?f=39&t=16182.
You can always go to a dedicated paint shop like Maaco and give them that paint code. It will come up in the BMW paint database in their computer system, and they should be able to make you a small can of it for a nominal cost. One brand option should be DuPont, and I think you can get the basecoat/clearcoat mixed. Talk to them about how much of the active drying agent they mix in so you can have enough time to get the trim painted. You might even want to inquire into the cost of them doing it. If you are not in a hurry, they can paint your parts, then get a bunch of others together and bake them in the oven at the same time.
