How about a kick-ass GP for the States...
How about a kick-*** GP for the States...
Hello NAM,
This is a copy of an earlier posting that I shared with my cousins at the MFEST site. Included are some images of an aero-kit of my own design (attached) that I would like to see fabricated. If there is anyone here that can make that happen, or know-of someone who can make that happen please advise. In case you're wondering, MFEST is an elite BMW outfit that accepts bad-*** MINI's as members. In case anyone here on NAM is interested, simply hit-up www.mfest.com and join in. Anyway, enuff said.

As the motorist of a 1st Gen GP, I am eager to see the day that MINI begins assembling some ballzy bastards. How about one that comes with a cone or true-cold ducts that are effective. Maybe some light-weight, reinforced grills to increase airflow (after all there are only three of them.) Perhaps some burly wheel wells that allow for more poke at the hub. Oh wait, hello! A two-seater! If thats not enough to convince someone at MINI to hit the drafting table, imagine a real 'wing-to-axle' spoiler. Enough of my ideas concerning potential problems/setbacks with the standard GP; check out my solution (attached.)
BTW: The dimples in the rear view are an extreme option, its dreamy but wouldn't it be nice. The rear bumper w/diffusing contours could potentially reduce a lot of the vehicles drag coefficient (that combined with the lowered level of the wing.) Also, the wing would have to be designed for quick release via some sort of locking mechanism, in order to gain access to the hatch; cumbersome but oh so sexy. Feel free to share opinions.
P.S. I know the polished front view has no doorhandle, artistic integrity prevailed, what can I say.

Thanks Rayanmx, with any luck someone can put me in touch with the resources and materials to make it a reality.
If there is anyone reading this thread residing within motoring distance from Las Vegas, Nevada; check out the upcoming MFEST V competion event happening this April, 1/4, 1/2 dragstrip, Autocross and much more. I haven't decided if I'll be there yet or not, but if there is enuff peer pressure, I just might dust off my helmet.
