Can you fit a pair of skis in the back?

All:

Will a pair of 165 downhills fit in the back of the Countryman? Might pick up a new pair when we collect our car- want to make sure they'll fit!

Won't be adding a ski rack though- already have one for the Land Rover.

Thanks in advance,

Paul.

I imagine they'd easily fit just placing them between the back seats through the space in the fronts. 165s are pretty short.

165's will just fit on an angle with one rear seat folded down and the front seat not all the way back. Or they work straight in and between the front seats a bit, though a little in the way like that. I know you don't want roof racks, but I have to show you my solution anyway:

This is our ski rig, with rack attached. Works great- nice & easy to get the skis on/off.

Glad to hear a pair of 165's will fit in the Countryman!

180cm skis fit inside car

With the ski season fast approaching, I checked if my pair of powder skis (180cm length) fit in my '11 Countryman S.

With both back seats down, I placed them in the middle inside the ski bag I typically use to travel. About 6 inches of the skis lay on the armrest and do not cause discomfort as the bag is mildly padded.

Without a front passenger, I can easily angle the skis to lean closer to the passenger seat, eliminating any subtle discomfort while driving.

For safety, I'll strap down the bag with paracord (or something similar) through the child safety seat anchors or metal hooks in the trunk.
