I couldn't wait any longer for someone else to start this thread.
I ordered my Mini CountryMan "S" 2wd the 1st week of Jan and I am now on track for a week 9 production date (Feb. 27th to be exact).
They estimate I'll get it by the end of March.

Why so long?
Because I had to have it just the way I want with the lower sport suspension and week 9 was closest allocation date for my dealer.

I'm chomping at the bit.
Dealer has waved 3 other CMS in front of me, but they just weren't exactly what I wanted and none had the sport suspension option.
I'm standing my ground and it's getting closer.

I hope the tracking thing on the owner's Lounge works for me and I wish I could get photos of my car as it's being built.

 

LOL I LOVE your spirit!!! Kudos to getting it just the way you want it. Week 9 will be here in a flash. I'm a Week 6 and won't get my car until April (west coast port). What options did you order besides sport suspension?

welcome to the "waiting" phase of new MINI ownership. you're lucky, being on the east coast, you don't have to wait so long for the boat to get to you...

what color & packages did you order?

 

Definitely tell us what packages, etc., you ordered.

It looks like almost no dealer stock cars have the Sports Suspension.

I made sure to add it to mine, but then, I think I ordered everything other than lounge leather (too Lazy-Boy-ish), All4, and JCW Aero Kit.

Otherwise, if there was a check box for it, I checked it!

 

I'm all about performance and understatement as far as colors and wheels.
I'm also on a tighter budget this time around, so I couldn't just say "LOAD IT and make it fast" like I could back in 2005 with my MCS.

I ordered:
2WD standard shift "S"
Crystal Silver body color with no stripes.
Black roof and mirrors.
Carbon and Piano Black interior options.
Flat black 5 star wheels (17")
Sport suspension
Cold weather package (heated seats & mirrors are a must have in Boston)

Total came to $27,700
I figured I'd rather have a cheap Countryman S than an expensive Toyota. ;-)
Plus now I have some room to play. Intake, boost/ECU mods, etc.

I plan on the Joey mod and to black out the chrome one way or another.

8 days and they'll be building my CMs

 

I guess I am another Week 9 expectant MINI owner (my 4th), but my wait will be just as exciting as the first one. Ordered my Absolute Black S All4 on Saturday, Feb 19, got my production number today with an expected completion date of March 2.

You need to log into the owner's lounge with your production number.
Even though it has not been updated with the CM factory info it does update status of build.
I just logged in and to my pleasant surprise, it is built.
Apparently week 9 meant it will be finished by week 9.

What was your order date, etc.?

 

We ordered January 7th.
The allocation for the 2wd S was out that far and we just had to have the sport suspension, so we waited a little longer than some.

 

I definitely understand needing the sport suspension and being willing to wait for it.

 

Now the wait gets intense According to ASK MINI my Countryman All4 was in the paint shop yesterday and was assembled today It's been exactly 4 weeks since she was ordered, so hopefully just 4 more to go!

edit: well futz.. i searched for week 9 group and found it.. did not realize until after posting it is in the countryman section! lol.

First - as of this posting everyone should be built and waiting for the boat ride to America! (or wherever youmay be). My status this morning is "produced but not shipped". Status 193 - arrival at port.

This will be my third MINI. My first two were leased but with the 0.9% being offered I plan on buying this one. Since my first two were leased I "held back" a little on the mods. This one I'll probably mod like crazy.

First four mods will happen almost immediately. They are going to be 16" OZ Ultraleggaras with Yokohama Neova AD08's at 225/50r16 (EDIT: Tire rack talked me out of 225's so I got 205/50r16 Dunlop Starspecs), my Alta intercooler, my Alta Access Port tuning (assuming the tuning is ready for the 2011), and boost gauge.

MM, looks like a nice build for the MCS. I wonder if a mod can move this to 2nd Gen area non - CM.

 

yep, i can afford to lease a JCW but not finance payments for one (at least not loaded with the options I like).

My Countryman made it to the Port of exit today. After looking at the WW and KL shipping charts, I think I will be waiting for a ship headed to So Cal until March 11. Anyone else waiting to get to the west coast (USA)?? If you are, did you find a ship leaving the port of exit earlier than March 11?

Supposedly in USA port by the 24th.

 

When the Topeka orginally set out it was supposed to dock in Baltimore on the 23rd, now it's the 24th. I guess they stopped off for some R&R before arriving at their new home .

Already have my first mod - a badge holder from GoBadges.

Won't be long now .

Update. The ship "Topeka" docks shortly. Scheduled for 5pm. today, but probably not until tomorrow in Baltimore, MD.

It looks like I may be meeting Betty Boop in person on Thursday. My MA emailed me today stating that if she came in on Thursday would I want to pick her up that same day....... What do you think my answer was?

1st pic as we went to the dealer to see it at 9pm. Tuesday night.
Got the plates and picked it up yesterday at noon and drove around to nowhere for about 6 hours.
I'll take some more pics in a day or two, but we're very happy to get our exact choices.
