Best off sets for 17" aftermarket wheels

Whats the best offsets for 17" wheels? Ive seen some have ET35 and some use ET40? Looking into aftermarket wheels...Dont want to run into rubbing issues...Thanks

Running stock suspension?

Assuming stock 17x7 wheels then +40 to 45mm is better. 35mm would stick out.

if 17x8 rims then et 35 would be OK

not at all. im running 17x7.5 et38 and they dont even stick out past the fenders. But thats only like 1/8" inside and out bigger

et's in the 40s are too far inward in my opinion. A lot of people put 12mm spacers on thier stock et48 wheels to get 36, since 35 fits very well in a 7 or 7.5" wide wheel

Best offsets? None I have 17x7 team dynamics wheels with no offset and theres no rubbing no problems prefect alignment and camber, AND my car has H&R springs. Don't waster ur money

Do you know the specs? The only pure silver r53 on 17" rs's I know of runs 9.5", maybe et 25. In the rear anyway. Looks like it might be a different car though.
