Metal Dealer Badge - hard to remove?

So, my dealer puts a metal "Mini of the Main Line" badge on the back of the car, and I don't really like the logo. Are these hard to remove?

I think you just need some fishing line and a hair dryer.

I personally would not have accepted the car with that on it.

I'd take it back to them, make them remove it.. unless they want to pay you to advertise for them. That is BS! I'd be VERY upset.

Got my car there too. Specified no dealer logos in advance of receiving car from VDC. Did you buy off the lot or special order? Either way they should remove upon request.

When I bought a new VW years ago it had a metal logo thing on the back. I told them to remove it and they did in just a few min. I would take it back and tell them to take it off immediately. They will be able to do it quickly and if they mess anything up it's on them and not you.

I didn't even think of this, but I think Midnight Blue posted yesterday about dealer badges. I emailed my MA, and he told me they'd leave it off at my request.

Honestly I'm a little surprised dealers still do this. I thought most of them went to license plate holders as the badges ticked off lots of people. They can take it off and you won't even know it was there.

Do you also have to specify if you don't want the front license plate holder?

I think so. In MD it is illegal to run without the front plate, but they will not put a front holder as long as you fill out a form. I'm considering the drill-less plate holder or just not having the plate on.

Here in Ohio a front plate is required also. We have had our current MCS for 4.5 years with no front plate or holder and never had a single problem. So I'm going to specify no front plate holder this time too.

Thanks for the replies everyone!

@midnightblue - my car is special order. It isn't here yet - still awaiting transport. But I was behind a MCS yesterday from mainline and noticed the badge. I wasn't sure what kind of response they would give me if I asked them to remove it.

When I ordered my CM I told them NO front plate holder. My MA finished my sentence for me Anyway...apparently Utah used to be a front plate requirement but this was changed within the last 2-3 years. I have NEVER put on a front plate but I got a warning ticket for 'no front plate' from a Highway Patrol in Kansas when he pulled me over for speeding. I love the side mount no drill option FiremanMike used. Nice! Make the dealer take off their badge IF they put it on.

If it isn't here yet then they won't have to take it off since you've instructed them not to attach one To begin with They won't care. Surprisingly they don't even use logo'd license plate frames.
