Ordering Mini Stripes & Decals Direct

Anyone know how/where I can order the actual Mini Countryman Stripes & Decals Direct?

I'm trying to achieve the look in the picture below (Except with a black roof and white stripes).

I've found the stripes at the Dealer for ($127.65 for the body, $143.81 for the roof, and $111.50 for the side stripes) (I've even got part numbers)

I'd like to cut out the middle man if possible...and save a little money. However, I cannot find these exact stripes from other vendors...only variations of them.

Can anyone help?

Might be tough to find as they are so new. Dealer might be the only option. If there are available somewhere else cheaper I'm sure someone on here will know.

Check E-Bay - there was just a set on there. Not OEM, but darn close to - even had the cutouts for the badges. If I was closer to ownership, I would grab them. Search Mini Countryman Stripes.

So you did decide to go with stripes, eh? This is exactly what I am considering as well. Thanks for finding a good photo!

Yeah, I think I'm going to take the plunge. I want to add some fun factor to the car. That photo is simply the photo of the true blue countryman from the brochure. I took a picture of it and then desaturated it to turn it black and white. Now I just have to visualize a black top with white stripes.

Getting a quote from a Vehicle Lettering/sign shop for installation. The dealer wants almost $1,000 to install everything. (Not including the cost of the stripes)

My only reservation is that if you read the fine print it says that the stripes are slightly narrower than the actual "Mini" stripes in order to avoid copyright infringement. When i looked at them they appear to be noticeably skinnier.

Noticeably thinner = uglier IMHO. Also under the fine print, no returns accepted, so you are taking a big risk there. The cut out is also not even close to how the stock ones are done.
A quality graphics installer could match them perfectly though. I would ask around town to find a place that could do it and if they don't have the vinyl you like there are alot of places online that you can get the size and color you want. Probably the whole job can be done for at least half of what the dealer would charge if not more.

I wonder if you can get the chili red stripes that are on the UK brochure for the John Cooper Works version. I see them in the accessory brochure on the uk site. I am considering the red and black combo they show in the brochure.

I'd also like the full vinyl stripes as in that pic; however the 3 sets of stripes end up about $400 and then you have to add in installation cost at around $90-$120/hour.

Darn stripes could end up costing $1000.

Unfortunately I've already selected this on the build and because of that the factory white stripes weren't included when they would've been FREE with my package.

Soooo...anyone here got the stripes added by the dealer and if so, how much was the labor and was it worth it? TIA

As I said in my post, I got a quote for installation from the dealer and it came in at around $990 for hood, roof, rear, and sides. (+ almost $400 for the stripes themselves) However, I've got a quote coming from two Vehicle Lettering Companies who install logos and marketing messages on cars. I'm hoping its no more than a couple hundred bucks.

They also show this combination inside the U.S. brochure...and yes you can get them through the dealer OR through minimotoringgear.com. (However, that's the same place the dealer gets them and they pay the same price you pay)

Sorry Polojankins...I missed that earlier (or wanted to forget it!).

Good lord! I'm now considering just buying them and installing them myself. I used to build a lot of RC vehicles, so I've probably gotten a good hundred hours put into cutting and sticking on vinyl decals on polycarbonate 1/10 scale bodies (including a gorgeous Porsche 911 GT1 racer which was a nightmare of decals).

Off topic, but here's a pic of the product (body was painted white and the rest were vinyl decals):

Please do keep us posted on the quotes. Thanks!

$990.00??? Wow Good ole Stealerships.
With about 30 minutes and a computer with Google you can learn how to do it
yourself and yes, anybody can do it. Very easy.
Here is a start..... http://www.aestheticreations.net/Ins...tructions.html

3/4 down the page are for the Racing Stripes. Depending on what type of
vinyl you are going maybe better to do a wet application.

Stripe Installation by Vehicle Lettering Company

Wanted to let everyone know that I've just received a quote for sport stripe installation on the Bonnet, Boot, Roof, and Sides from a place here in the Dallas area (Allen,Texas to be exact) called New Graphics Inc. They are a Vehicle Lettering company that installs logos, company names, etc. onto vehicles...so they are used to applying vinyl lettering.

Their price: $200 for the complete install. (That's $790 less than the dealer)
