Gauge Lights

I just got my R56 about a month ago and one of things I love is the accent lights, only problem is I've still got my bright orange gauges glaring me in the face and was wondering if there was a way I could connect the two (most likely replacing the gauge lights) to shift in color together from the same switch. Just wondering if anyone has any experience doing this.

The bulbs in our gauges are orange, ...the only way to make them blue, purple, etc... is to actually swap the orange bulbs for some other color. -yet that wouldn't solve the issue still, because then you'd still have only one color for the gauges (but not orange). So you'd have to install a filter or something over a white light to mimic the color changing effect you want. ...plus you'd have to connnect the wiring to the accent wiring.

It's a nice idea and do-able, yet would be a PITA in my opinion.

The only thing I have ever seen done is a single color to replace the orange. I agree with eR1c, it would be a PITA.

Seems like this would have been an easy design option at the factory, not sure why they didn't do this.

The orange color is a BMW tradition and a safety feature as it is a night vision friendly color.
