Hi. I use my fold option whenever I park. Today the right mirror kept on rotating out past It's stopping point to see behind me...? Driver side stopped as normal. dealership is 3 1/2 hrs one way...is there anything I can do before making that drive?

 

Beyond checking to make sure the mirror folds all the way in (i.e., something or someone didn't torque the mirror outboard a little bit, creating an "offset" in the positioning); or cycling the folding mirrors a few times to determine whether it's a fluke, probably not...

 

Tried folding and unfolding, couple of times...will just duct tape it in center for now...city where dealership is are about to get 20 inches of snow. Ick!

 

I grabbed the miror, moved it to center manually, drove to work...surprisingly the mirror stayed put. After the temps warmed up a bit, like to 19 degrees... I clicked fold, and unfold...it seemed to catch and return to center after SOME VERY AWFUL Clunking sounds. Ugh. I have not folded them in since the right one fixed itself. Maybe like a convertible top, the folding mirror is a warm weather function only.
