Just Hit 70k--Maintenance

So my wife's '09 JustaCooper Clubman hit 70k miles. I've already got an oil change in mind. I recently had the tires rotated and balanced and had the alignment checked. What other maintenance should I be considering?

im sure a justa doesnt eat them as much as forced induction, but Plugs... usually makes a world of difference, if its been 30 or 40K

I'm pretty sure it's been 70k on the plugs, too, now that I think about it.

I think it may be getting a rechargeable air filter, as well.

I would also change the cabin filter too under the glovebox area. It should be changed about every 30K or so.

I am 65K and figured plugs were getting close in my MCS but when I took the coil off I realized that I needed a completely different spark plug socket. Is mini mania the best place to get the spark plug socket? I tried the local parts store but they didnt have the right one.

Inspect the front lower control arm bushings. At 70K I bet they are in need of replacement...if they haven't been replaced yet.

do some searching. I know they look odd, but I think you can use like a 12pt 14mm or 6 point 15mm

Also maybe coolant and test the battery, especially if you are on the original.

If the car is an auto, I would change the transmission fluid (use the same MINI/factory spec fluid). Personally, I don't believe in lifetime fluids. I plan on changing it when I hit 30k.

Don't forget the serpentine belt. When that goes, you're stranded. I would also recommend changing the brake fluid and checking the CV boots.

Can I just say "Wow" I can't believe you put that much mileage on an 09 clubman. How many miles do you do a day?

My wife's daily commute is about 90 miles one way.
