Auto UNLOCK & Pathway Light question & Inside Central Lock

I have a 2010 Mini Cooper. I reprogrammed a few things, it wasn't too difficult. However, I am having issues/questions about the following, and I would appreciate some help.

1) I have set so that the car locks by itself when it drives. When I come to a stop, I have to either use the inside button to unlock the doors, or pull the handle once to unlock and second time to get out.

Is it possible to have it set up so that when the car comes to a stop (AUTO tranny), that both doors auto unlocks?

2) The center unlock/lock button on my center console interior-the button pushing down unlocks and pulling up locks-this seems opposite of the action. Is it normal?

3) When I lock/unlock the car with the remote, the turn signals front and back light up. I read on Pg 73 of the owners manual about pathway lighting. My understanding is the headlights will stay on 10-240 seconds (whatever I program). I have it programmed to 10 seconds, but I am unable to see where I can set the program for the "confirmation of lock/unlock." In the confirmation setting, the options don't seem to allow me to have headlights on to confirm. Is it a MC vs MCS thing?

Appreciate the help.

1) don't set the doors to lock in the first place. I have yet to figure out how to make it so that they unlock at the "Stop". I just take the double-pull in stride as being a MINI quirk.

2) The lock switch, in my observations, works independent of the direction in which you flick it. It simply knows whether the doors are locked or not, and will reverse their current state when you flip the switch. Play around with it next time you have a minute or two. The fog light switch works the same way. It doesn't matter whether you flip it up or down if the fogs are off, they turn on, regardless of the switch's direction of travel.

3) I've not ever played with Pathway lighting... so I'm leaving that one alone.

cheers!

Thanks. I had it where it didn't lock at all auto, so I didn't need it to do the double pull to unlock. I did the single pull.

I actually like it to lock while driving, thus I changed it.

Our 03 MCS had the unlock, guess the new one doesn't have it.

Thanks for the heads up on the interior lock switch, will try it now.

I think I understand pathway lighting now, it works when you flash your beam, which is rather idiotic. Oh well.

Thanks for the heads up. Next I will see if I can figure out how to post some pictures.

1. Auto unlock is not available to you in the BC. But it can be enabled via advanced programming. See my thread in the Modifications called Close Windows and Sunroof with the remote. It is a $130 investment and a lot of time to setup.

3. The pathway or follow-me-home lights is not part of the unlock/lock confirmation signal. When the headlight switch is on you will get welcome lights (just the parking lights) when you unlock the car as well as the confirmation flashes as you have set. Headlights can not be included via the BC, but I think they can be in the advanced programming.

The follow me home or pathway lighting is activated by the following: When you shut off your car, open the door, pull the turn signal stack back toward the wheel (as in the flash-to-pass). Then the headlights will come on for the period of time you set in the BC.

Yes, auto-unlock was available in the 1st gen but unfortunately eliminated in the R56.

Pathway lighting was also standard on an 03 and operated the same way (but the timing had to be programmed by the dealer). It is intended to provide lighting as you walk away from the car at night, not as a lock confirmation. Imagine your headlights turning on for up to 240 seconds (4 minutes!) each and every time you lock the car.
