Magnetic Stone Guard stuck on my MINI.

So a few weeks ago I went to wash my MINI and proceeded to take off my stone guards, well one came off fine and normal, but the other is stuck tight. So tight, that when i would try to pull it off harder the guard itself started ripping.

I stopped trying to get it off then in case it could hurt my paint.

Anyone have any ideas on how I could get this thing off of my MINI without causing any damage?

It is really cold here in Ohio, so my uncle and I thought it might be frozen somehow, but we have had a really nice warm day since then and I still could not get it off.

Thanks for your help.

wow, they are thick. it must really be stuck on!Mine just pull right off easy.. is there water frozen under it that u can see? when i put mine on i leave a thick coat of turtle wax ice wax on the paint and the guard. Maybe that would help if you install them again in the future.

I would use a hair drier, not because it is frozen, but because it will even take off stickers. Just go easy and you should get it off. An old credit/debit card may be helpful.

Yeah some z3 people have had this problem.

Always apply to freshly waxed (and dry) paint. Also if it's cold outside that could affect things.

I never had a problem on mine.

thanks, i will try that out. I really don't think it's frozen. We have had a 60 degree day after I found it stuck on there, and still couldn't get it off.
