Hi,
I bought some nice chrome door lock pins for my mini but I can't get the old ones off. I figured they would just unscrew, so I am turning them anti-clockwise as hard as I can, but nothing, I feel like I am going to snap them if I put anymore force on them. Also tried pulling up but again no sign of releasing. What gives, are they glued on or something?

 

How To Install (Required tools: flat-nosed pliers; soft cloth)
1-Wrap a soft cloth around the existing plastic door lock pin while in the unlocked position inside your Mini.
2- Grip the pliers securely around the pin and gently pull upwards. There is no glue holding the pins.
3- Wiggle slightly as you firmly pull upwards until the pin pops off.
4- Press the new pin in place and press firmly downwards. Press until it stops sliding downwards. Apply firm pressure only. Do not hammer.
5- The new pin fits at a slightly higher position than the original exposing the three rings.
