Low air tire sensors

Hello everyone,

I just installed some new wheels and tires on my Clubman S. To my surprise, I didn't realize the low air pressure sensor are inside the tire (valve stem). I don't want to take the old ones from my stock wheels. Does anyone know best place to buy these sensors. Someone told me that there's a website that sells strictly tire sensors but I can't find it.. THank you

Harry

Tire rack is the cheapest.

Also check out the marketplace here on NAM, you can catch them here too.

2010 sensors are different than 08 and 09. I'm not sure about 2011.

I got mine from Discount Tire Direct when I purchased my wheels and I have a 2011. You better make sure its the same as the 2010 model when they changed it. There's a guy on ebay that sells them. Make sure you reset the sensor when you get them.

I think they go for $300 for the set. Its not cheap! :(

TPMS should go for around $40 each. If you're paying $300 for a set you're getting ripped off.

Since it seems that you've already mounted, and presumably balanced, your new tires I'd say just go without and check the pressure with a gage occasionally.

Mint Julep, earlier ones (2007-2009) were about $50 each, later models are a lot more expensive...

Like MJ says, I ran my car for almost a year with no sensors in the tires with no problems, even the blinking light in the dash really doesn't bother you after you know what it is, just check them periodically like you should anyway. Then the next time you buy tires, put the sensors in then.
