OK, what exactly is a "Bootgate Party"? Outdoor activities (like what), in the parking lot?

I see from their website, they will be hosting a scavenger hunt of MINI items throughout the museum (I assume that means inside).

 

Bootgate Parties are MINI's marketing blitz to get the word about the Countryman out to the masses.

This particular event is being hosted by MINI of Allentown. They are going to have countryman Coopers on hand to test drive; will be handing out Hot Cocoa before the Museum opens; will administer MINI 'quizzes' for free admission to the museum; and are selling raffle tickets, $10 each, for the "really big game in Dallas".

The raffle tickets are only on sale until COB 15 JAN 2011 though! If you wish to purchase raffle tickets, contact Mary, Allison, or any of the gang at MINI of Allentown to purchase. Winner gets 1 pair of tickets to the "big game", 4 nights hotel accomodations, and 1 pair of tickets to the "Official Playboy Super Bowl Party" being held Friday night before the game.

MINI of Allentown is a great group of folks led by a true MINIac. If you're in the area, be sure to stop in some time. They love "the Happies", because they are Happies themselves!

And it will be an indoor event for as long as you care to hang out at the museum!

I was wondering if their version of a bootgating party (tailgating party) included the customary grilling (BBQ'ing). I guess there is no free lunch.

 

There will be free food... in the "HubCap Cafe"... courtesy of MINI of Allentown and Applebees.

no cost to join the boards! but the club does have a small membership fee to partake in the rallies for the year, or you can pay per event. BUT the discounts the membership gets you at the local dealerships and other vendors... can easily make up for the cost!

Glad you enjoyed it! Sorry I missed ya at the museum. I was the "big guy" and 2nd place winner in the scavenger hunt. Have you checked out PhillyMINI's site yet?

 

So are you going to allow the 12yo to wash your MINI with a Brillo pad?

BTW, I was sitting on the side with my grandson in the "mostly ignored" booths.

 

2nd place was the Countryman for a weekend. Edgar got the spa day at MoA. And they are actually very good with their spa-days... another member got won one earlier this year at a PhillyMINI Event and was very pleased with how well they treated her MINI.
