February 5th or 6th. . .whichever will make it possible for us to have more people. . .a redux of the Ice Cream Run (because it was so damned fun and lots of people missed out on it). We can do an hour to an hour and a half drive and then a late lunch somewhere budget friendly.

Who's birthday are we celebrating? Well, mine you sillies!!! We'll have a guess how many gray hairs I have contest. The winner will be beaten with a sack of nickels for daring to guessing that high in the first place.

Now, this will be, as they say in the MINI world, a "spirited" drive. Speed limit on most the roads is 40-45 and we will run at least 55-60 throughout most of the drive with lots of nice twistie-turnies. So if you aren't comfortable getting into the gas pedal you might want to sit this one out. Co-pilot suggested if you have one as these are country roads where any sort of animal may magically appear in the middle of the road if you aren't paying attention (ask me about the guinea). A second set of eyes is a great thing out here!

Meeting point would be in Triune, on Hwy 96 between Franklin and Murfreesboro. . .time around 11am. So, who wants to see if they can hang with me and Scarlet?

 

Sounds like an awesome time Dawn. Of course, I have to work Saturday so I couldn't make it then and the problem for most on Sunday will be the Super Bowl.
Therefor, I think you'll have a better take rate for Saturday. Good luck.

which way will you guys be heading on the run? I work saturday nights but could probably swing it if you aren't heading farther south.

 

The run takes us just over the county line into Rutherford but we will end up very close to where we started. Still not sure what time we will start. Would like to plan it so that we can finish our run in Franklin/Cool Springs right around the time when our monthly meeting starts but not sure how that will play out or if folks will be able to make it if we start later.

Been looking at the weather reports and it doesn't look too good for a spirited drive.

We'll keep a eye on the weather reports and determine our actions accordingly. We may still make it to the Mellow Mushroom though; just depends on road conditions.

Due to the unpredictable weather I think it would be best if we postponed this run until we can be sure we will have a dry, sunny day. Sorry gang! Just wouldn't want to see anyone's beautiful MINI suffer an injury so better safe than sorry. Hope you can all still make it to the Mellow Mushroom tonite, though.
