Greetings fellow Miniacs near and far. Please join us for this year's event which has become the largest "grass roots" Mini event in the US. In the past 3 years we have seen over 500 Minis both "new" and "classic" from 14 states and Canada. This year will be even BIGGER and BETTER with more cars and more surprises.

As always this is a FREE event. All procedes from t-shirt and raffle ticket sales are donated to Providence House children's shelter for kids at risk of abuse and neglect ages 0-5. Last year we raised $4000 so let's get that up to $5000 for a terrific cause this year.

The PUB is a awesome authentically styled British pub (19304 Detroit Rd, Rocky River, OH 44116/440-356-6933) who's kilted staff will be ready to serve up a huge variety of imported libations and some seriously good food at a discount for us hungry motorers (50% off the best fish n chips anywhere!). We will convene on their beautifull open air patio which overlooks our reserved lot which holds over 300 Minis.

• Things kick off at 9:00 AM. There is now a coffee/breakfast shop next door to the PUB that is owned by a fellow Mini driver. I have yet to arrange a "discount" for us but I'll get er' done. T-shirts and raffle tickets for $2000+ in cool Mini related prizes will go on sale. Get your shirt early as they sell out every year. Of course, we will have a new design as we do each year.
• 10:30 we will launch this year's driving event. A scavenger hunt with cool prizes for the winners. My " organizer guy" promises the best event yet.
• At noon the "faux four" AKA "THE LIVERPOOL LADS" will get the party into high gear. These guys brought the house down last year with their fantastic BEATLES tribute. Close your eyes and you'll think you're in rock n roll heaven. The "LL'S" are regular performers at the PUB and they always pack the place.
• At 2:00 we kick off the "BRITISH CELEBRITY COSTUME CONTEST" with prizes going to the top three costumes (judged by our guest limey Joe from London). Bring a costume of your favorite British celebrity be they historical, fictional, dead or alive. Expect to see the Queen, Ozzy, James Bond, Twiggy, Austin Powers, and....??????
• At 4:00 we will "start you up" with "JUMPIN JACK FLASH" ROLLING STONES TRIBUTE to give some "satifaction" to all you "street fighting men" who "can't always get what you want" (ok sorry, I'll stop now). These guys are the #1 regional STONES tribute act and they play all the hits as well as some obscurities for all you (me) Stones fans.
• More surprises to be announced (or at least the stuff I'm forgeting). Stay tuned to this channel or check out "pubminimeet.com" for the latest from webmaster Phil.

Get here early to get a good spot as we fill up quick. We get everybody in the lot but we may have to shoe horn you in the back if your late. This party goes on till the PUB closes so get your self a room nearby and spend the weekend in beautiful Cleveland. Take in an Indians game or check out the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. There's a ton of cool things to do here! Me? I'm hanging out with Betty White.

While this is a fun event with large turn out, this is a group doing a really good thing for the kids in their area.

 

The food at The Pub is also very good.

EXCELLENT event! One of the most relaxing, "meet people" Mini events ever. Excellent food and the band is always a big hit. Just touring the parking lot is awesome! The contingent from Pittsburgh will be there again...

twinskrol, if you're driving through and want an overnight in Pittsburgh instead of going all the way in one day, the PittStop club drives out together on the morning of the event, meets at Krispy Kreme in Cranberry Twp PA (corner of Route 19 and Route 228, right near PA Turnpike exit 29) at 7AM...

EDIT: KK is closed... We're meeting in the Target parking lot at 7AM. Cranberry Township Route 228 exit off I-79, take 228 EAST 1/2 mile, 2nd light, on the left. Main attraction there: Starbucks and McDs breakfast, and a whole passel o' Minis headed to Cleve-land

Got Mini stuff cluttering up your garage, rec room, bedroom, office, ect? Bring it to the PUB swapmeet and get $$$ for your unwanted stuff. I have a ton of cool stuff (cabrio wind screen, cuckoo clock) myself!

Since we are raising money for Providence House children's shelter we are asking for 20% of the sale of your items. If you wish to donate more that's awesome but entirely up to you.

A new wrinkle this year. Should be very interesting.

 

Very good idea, Greg. I have a complete MCS JCW suspension (i.e. struts, springs and rear sway bar) to contribute. Glad to see it go to a good cause. Sorry I missed the last Mini breakfast. My excuse was I was just back from Rochester NY where I got a RMW ecu tweak from Jan himself. Fun experience. Pleasure to have a some extra hp and torque. Not that I REALLY needed it.

 

Between the things you have done to lighten that car and this latest tweek I'd say you're ready for the track to open. That car must be sick.

Anyone headed through pittsburgh on the way to the Pub event:

PittStopMINI is leaving the north suburbs of Pgh at 7AM, headed to Cleveland and the Pub. Last year we had about 15 Minis on this ride, and the looks we get on the Interstate are fab.

Now that Krispy Kreme closed :-(, We're meeting in the Target parking lot in Cranberry Township at 7AM. Cranberry Township Route 228 exit off I-79, take 228 EAST 1/2 mile, 2nd light, on the left. Main attraction there: Starbucks and McDs breakfast, and a whole passel o' Minis headed to Cleve-land. If you're coming from Far Far Away, there are a TON of hotels in the area (from Motel6 to Courtyard to Marriott)... but let me know if you're staying overnight and we'll arrange something nice. Pub's about a 2 hour drive from here.
