Wheels from E46 onto '11 MCS?

So i still have my set of SSR Comps (type-C's) from my E46. I've heard that there are adapters to go from 5x120 bolt pattern to mini's 4x100 bolt pattern but i'm not sure if this is even safe or not for daily driving or even auto-x'ing. Also would these wheels/tires fit on the car? The sizes are 17x8 +40 and 17x8.5 +44. They're currently on a set of hankook ventus v12's that have under 1000 miles and i'd hate to sell them so fast (i traded my e46 to get the mini). Thanks!

The smallest adaptors you can get are 18mm. which would make your offsets 17x8 22 and 17x8.5 26, which is a pretty agressive fitment. they will extend out from the fender roughly 15mm. So unless you are willing to run a smaller tire and maybe some camber to make them fit its probably a bad idea.
