Recommended Wheel Paint for Repairs/Refinishing?

Hi all.

I've been searching the threads to see if there was any consensus on what paint best matches the OEM alloy wheel paint. I've seen Wurth, ColorMatch, Duplicolor and some others (Canadiantire?!!?). I've read some complaints about the Wurths (bad batches, cost, etc.).

Any recommendations based on experience? I saw a Duplicolor for VW that looked very close but can't seem to find any for BMW.

Thanks!

Painting rims is like anything else. Preporation of the surface to be refinished is key.....The Wurth products are very good and color match is best on the market.

www.Bavauto.com has most of their products for our wheels.

I too am looking for the best color to touch up a few of my wheels before I mount new tires in about a month. I snagged an extra set of stock (#83?) 5-spokes, so can choose the best 4. One or two will need minor rim detailing, which I've done before. Just wondering if anyone has used any specific brand/color for a good match (see photo, if it actually loads). The prep work is pretty easy on non-chromed alloys, just start with sandpaper as rough as needed to take the worst damage off, then gradually work way to finer before finishing with steel wool, clean, prep, paint. I'll be experimenting with several brands of silver and follow up if I find something just right.
Once worst ones are bare I'll take some before/after shots to demo.

ack! Scraped my new matte black Enkei EDR9 rims! Found tutorial on repairing chrome ones. Need to know which paint will best match the finish! Took paint off about 5 " of the edge of the rim and about 1" off one of the spokes...help!
