Countryman At Morristown MINI

I was at Morristown Mini and they had 3 Countryman that came off the carrier...two were sold (ALL4)...the third was an S...not sold and to be used for test drives until someone buys it.

What am I missing? Why would anyone want the Countryman without AWD? What's the point of an oversized MINI? I'm sure the brains at BMW know better than I do, but I don't get it at all.

I can agree with to some extent, I don't know why anyone would want any car w/o AWD.
