alta boost gauge problem.

My boost was working fine until yesterday where it just stopped working. Never had a problem before. It powers up, needle moves when the car is turned on. I checked all the hoses and seems fine. Any feedback?

Connections might have come loose, I got rid of the pro sport, inaccurate and slow moving. double check your connections. Is it mechanical or electrical? Check every connection for a good contact and go from there, if all is good then your gauge went kaplut!

Im going to unplug all the hoses, inspect all parts and hopfully that would clear the problem, I just rather not spend another 150+ for a new gauge.

I also had a recent problem with my Prosport boost gauge. One day, it just went dark. It acted like it wasn't getting power, but my water temp gauge was jumpered through the boost gauge and it was getting power just fine.

After checking everything I possibly could, I finally decided to just disconnect the battery (thus cutting power to the gauge) and upon reconnecting the battery, it started working fine. I figured since it’s electronic, it just needed a ‘reboot.’ It’s worked ever since.

ok, im going to try that, but another question is, i remember when my car is on at idle, my needle would stay at the bottom and not zero, what went wrong there? Is there anyone in elk grove that would beable to stop by and see if everything is installed correctly?

Why not call technical support?

so i unplugged the battery for about min, and still nothing..Still not sure why its not working..I installed it correctly, oem map sensor on top of alta and screwed back on, ran a tube from the map sensor to one end of the plastic, then other end of plastic has a tube going to the (forgot the name) black box, then ran cables into the firewall into the gauge, did i do something wrong? Should I check the hoses?

Did you install the white filter inline between the map sensor and the black box? If not, the black box that converts the boost pressure into an electrical signal for the gauge could have failed.
