Opinion on wheels please

I'm trying to decide between these wheels (Kyowa KR210 and König Feather):

Both are comparable in weight and price. For tires, I'm thinking Ventus V12 Evo in 215/45/17. Lots of NAM members use the Feathers but very few, if any, have the Kyowa's. If any of you have the KR210s, I'd really appreciate a pic.

Which of the two do you guys prefer?

Personally, they're both too "tuner" for me, but if I had to pick I would chose the Kyowas.

Love your Breytons but a bit over my budget. One good thing bout the Kwoyas is that they look super easy to clean...good for lazy people like me

I prefer the Feathers too. Where are both sets made?

Kwoyas are made in Taiwan and not sure about the Königs...they might be made in the Philippines.

I shouldve guessed. Konig sounds like a typical Philippino brand

btw, that back drop sure looks like False Creek.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the Königs country of origin. Could be Taiwan or China as well.

After a little more research, I stumbled upon these:

they are 17 x 7 in a ET42. Apparently, they come in a silver as well as the gun metal shown here. Best of all, these are 14.5 lbs and they appear to meet my 'easy to clean' requirement. Any thoughts?

feather. better look (IMO), also easy to clean and the higher offset the better for looks (i know its only 2mm lol)

The velox's look like something you pick up at NTB with your winter tires to trash

and as far as the kyowas (never heard of them for one).... keep in mind what 4-lugs on 5 spokes look like.... can be wierd. I know I wish i had 5

Since you have 5-spokes, thought you might like the Kwoya wheels more . I do like the Feathers but I ended up ordering the Velox wheels since they're a bit lighter and less common on Minis. Here's a pic of 17 x 7 (5-bolt) on 215/45 rubber.

i must say i think they look much better in the single silver color. Never a fan of the double drilled, but glad you found one ya liked... youll enjoy the ease of cleaning. I LOVE being able to reach in and clean the barrel

any kind of flat center cap would really make them sweeter too IMO

yeah, the double-bolt pattern was almost a deal-breaker but Feathers are also 8-holed. These Velox wheels are silver painted in the center and polished on the lip. A polished lip is about as 'blingy' as I wanna go. Definitely agree with the flat center cap...finding one might be tricky. Also, I'll try to find some type of caps to cover the extra lug holes.

Very nice but I've already ordered. Those wheels are actually 0.3 lbs lighter but also cost twice as much.

My Konigs have tags saying they are made in Malaysia.

I'd say more along the lines of these are where it is at, although much different than either option listed in the OP. Really craving a set myself...have to keep telling myself to wait until after winter

It's a done deal. UPS showed up today. Here's a sneak peek. Unfortunately, the manufacturer's spec appear to be off a bit. They are advertised as 14.5 lbs but my scale shows 15.2 lbs. Maybe it's just my scale (I hope) but I guess even 15.2 lbs is not bad for a 17 x 7.

Yes, the OZs are nice but they are more money than I want to spend. These seemed to be a good compromise between weight, price, style, and ease of cleaning. Even someone with huge paws can easily reach in to clean the inside of the wheel.

thx. So did the last pic change your mind?

It might be a while before I get these on the car. Bought them to mount my summer tires on so I can use my oem wheels for my LM60 Blizzak winter tires. It'll be interesting to see if the weight reduction is noticeable.
