Best way to clean leather seats? and best wax to use?

I've been spending the past half hour going through threads on here to find some stuff to use to clean my leather, I already have Lexol to keep it conditioned but I need something to clean the stains off. I have the blue/black leather. any suggestions? will a magic eraser work?

also, what do you recommend I use for waxing my car. people on here are throwing around terms like "adams" and stuff but I have no idea what that is haha. thanks!

For Leather, a magic eraser may work just fine. Just be careful not to ruin the leather. You may want to test it.

Personally I've used Meguiars 2 Step Cleaner/Conditioner and Prima's Leather Care. Both with some awesome results. These are the only two products I've ever had to use, even for the worst stains.

As for waxing in the car, you are going to get a ton of personal preferences here. Myself, I now only use Prima's EPIC as my final stage wax.

There are a ton of threads on here about this stuff. Search OctaneGuy and you'll see.

I wouldn't use a Magic Eraser on leather - the Magic Eraser is an abrasive and I would think could damage it. I would recommend just finding a leather cleaner - a really great system is Prestine Clean *but* it's a little time-intensive. Works awesome though.

As far as wax, I too am a fan of Prima Epic. However, depending on the color of your car I would maybe have different recommendations!

I am a fan if Epic products myself. I haven't had a chance to use Epic yet but their newest product Banana Glaze is unbelievable! I've used many products and this us my favorite so far. I haven't been disappointed in any products from Prima thus far.

I use Turtle Wax F21 car polish, I'm not OCD. It can last up to a year, protects from UV light, beads water, fills in micro scratches, and helps to remove some. If you enjoy driving your car and only wash it because water no longer beads, then this is the stuff for you.

Well I used to use Zaino Bros. Great shine and durability, but lots of work, so I like to use the ALL-IN-ONE by Klasse instead.
Easy on and Easy off. They have a glaze you can use after the all-in-one, but instead I top it off with S100 Harley Davidson Carnauba Wax. Get it at a Harley Davidson Motorcycle dealer. Great shine !!

I also would worry that Magic Eraser would be abrasive and damaging to the leather. I am a BIG HUGE fan of Leatherique.

It is a two day process, but it really makes your leather interior look and feel great. It doesn't leave your surface shiny and greasy, it gives a really nice matte look. I've been using it for about a year now-but my bf has been using it for years on his 2005 M3 and his interior looks fab thanks to it!

Yep, I wouldn't use a magic eraser either! I use Adam's (http://www.adamspolishes.com/) for most of my car care and highly recommend them. They have a leather cleaner which works very well and a conditioner that keeps the leather feeling good.

For wax, I currently use a wax that Greasy's garage sells but now that I have moved, I will likely go back to Adam's wax. I still have some and it is great stuff that lasts... Combine that with their claybar and detail spray and your paint will look like a mirror when you are done.

Leatherique is an awesome leather cleaner. Best of the best I think, but its just so time consuming.

Lexol for the leather

Wax is really a personal preference. If you want something that you can pick up at the local store, then a Meguiars Gold Class or NXT wax is good. Higher end stuff that needs to order is tough to classify because there is so much out there. Adams, Prima, Autoglym, Blackfire, Pinnacle, Zaino, Menzerna, Klasse, etc. are all great options.

I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner for my lounge leather and NXT 2.0 for waxing every few months. I'm not super OCD but I do like a clean car - this combo seems to do the trick.

Save the money. The best thing to clean leather seats. Fabric softener and water. For cloth seats, vinegar and water. Used for years.

How about for the vinyl seats? My roommate swears by vinegar and water, just not fond of the smell :D

Lexol for Leather. Always.

Clay the paint (currently have a Meguiars Clay Kit but just about any will be ok). Then use Klasse 'All-in-One" with a buffer (amazingly easy). Follow it up by applying the Klasse Sealant (rub on, rub off) and you're golden.

Fixed stinky smell...

I'm not sure if this will work for you, but yesterday I picked up my new-to-me 2013 MINI (with only 2350 miles on it) and it had a funky smell inside. I couldn't tell if it was a cleaner the dealer used or if someone had smoked a cigar in it. Anyway, this morning I went to Walmart and got a bottle of Meguire's Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner, which they claim "cleans all interior surfaces" and that's how I used it. I cleaned everything with it except the floor mats and carpet (they didn't smell bad at all?!). I also stopped at the Advance Auto and got a small bottle of Griots Leather Care Spray and went back over everything a second time. Walla! It worked perfectly. The interior is sparkling clean and it smells like an almost new car should.
