Very, very quiet
Very, very quiet
It's awfully quiet in the forum zone these days. Everybody reeling from the elections?
I, for one, had a great weekend, throwing Ruby around a bunch of cones at the TRSCCA Autocross event at Nashville Superspeedway this past Sunday. There were three of us Minis represented there. What a great time. I recommend this event to anyone that loves to drive. It's a very inexpensive way to thrash your Mini without the possibility of Mr. Law hosing you down in the local clink.
I learned a lot about the car's performance, my lack of driving skill and the need for better tires.
If you are interested, they will have another event before the end of the year. I think it would be a great theme for one of our get togethers, not this next one, but maybe in the spring. What say ya'll.

I can't believe I missed out on the AutoX Sunday but the little man with the big sledgehammer that lives inside my head decided I had to stay in bed all day. I really hate that little man!
And I worked so hard on Saturday to make sure I got everything done so I would be able to go. I really wanted to get out there and see how Scarlet would perform (oh, and beat Steve). Guess I have to wait for the next event.

I would agree that is it a bit quiet on here! And I also had a great time at the AutoX Sunday. The weather couldn't have been better and the track setup was very fun. I will be going again the next race if anyone wants to join. It is Nov 14 and is also the last race of the season. So it you want to do it this year, this is your last chance!

Hey XBoosted, I did not know that was you out there. You and I had some tight competition at the end of the first round, but I blew it and never improved for the second round. You improved a second or so, I think. Nice job! Unfortunately I will not be able to get back out there for the next run, but I definitely will be going to several next year. What a blast.
Dawn, sure hated that you missed out. Looks like we'll be in for some friendly competition at another event.
