AUX-in missing on my Radio Wave CD

Hi everybody!

I own a 2007 MINI cooper and I am having some troubles playing my IPOD classic in my MINI Radio wave CD.

When I try to reach the AUX-in mode (by pushing the "mode" button repeatedly) it simply doesn’t appear: I can only cycle between RADIO and TR mode.

How can I reach the AUX-in mode? Is there something wrong with my radio?!?

PS: I am using a 3.5mm male jack to 3.5mm male jack to connect the IPOD to the Aux-in.

Thanks

If you do have the AUX in-jack in the center cubby, your radio probably should have the aux-in available on the deck. I am not sure if the WAVE radio (as opposed to the higher model BOOST standard in the US) comes with the Aux-in by default.

Aux-in is a programmed option in the radio so you may require a dealer trip to active it or get a BMW DCAN cable to program it yourself (not an easy task) with NCS Expert, or a J2534 Mogoose to do the retrofit in ISTA/P.

Try disconnecting your car battery for ten minutes, maybe that will reset the radio.
