Bye everyone (+ a video for those new to the Clubman)

So I used to spend a LOT more time here, but my growing family has had two effects on me:

1) Less "me" time to participate on the boards
2) Compelled me to buy a minivan...I know, I know...going from a MINI to a minivan...crazy, huh?

Anyhow, I'll miss these boards. For the old timers here, I was the one who started the "Clubman Capture Contest" where NAM members took photos of "Clubman out in the wild" for points Additionally, I've been amused by how the "Will THAT fit in a Clubman" thread has grown since I posted it initially

Anyhow, it's been great and if it weren't for the growing family, I would've loved to keep the our Clubman

Anyhow, I'm putting my Clubman on the market and made a video that might be interesting for those who are considering the Clubman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rPABosINXs

Additionally, if you're in the SF Bay Area and are in the market for a Clubman, check out my ad: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/2019189354.html

Best to ALL and Happy Motoring!

Can I still wave to you from my minivan?

Bye!

Thanks for taking the time to post a farewell. I hope I can keep my Clubman 'forever'.
I'm going to watch your video here in a moment. You'll need to drive a MINI every now and then, once you've gotten used to your people mover.
Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your decision, but I totally understand. Where does the time go?! Marriage hacks free time by about, what, 50%. A child hacks that by about 100%. That leaves something in the negative-free-time area, I think :-)

Watching the video now! (Been trying to talk my wife into trading her "I can fit anything into my TDI" for a Clubman :-)

Hope to see you drop in at some point in the future.

M

PS, could you tell me who makes the case you have on your iPhone? Haven't seen that one before.

Farewell! I hear what you're saying, and I'm already in that negative free time place. We sold the r53 for an Element for family purposes. Now we're BACK into an r55. We'll see how long we can hold out!
Good luck on the sale!

I’ve been driving the Sienna for about a week so that I don’t put any more miles on the Clubman and just yesterday I climbed back into the Clubman to shoot my video…it was like putting on a nice comfortable pair of old shoes…I’m going to miss that thing…

At the risk of pushing you to the brink of insanity, and since you bought a Sienna “swagger” wagon, I thought you might enjoy some fun Toyota style. Check out this music video: http://bit.ly/a5TL7o

Sorry to hear you are leaving the MINI community. I did notice two things from your video: 1) Looks like you filmed it in South San Francisco 2) You have a SwitchEasy Colors iPhone case.

Thanks for the great video. I'm in the market for a Clubman, but am from the Midwest. I had decided against the Convenience Package until I saw your video. Good luck on the sale.

Great Farewell video and a question

I just bought a 2008 Clubman on Saturday. We already have a 2005 Cooper and a 1974 Mini Cooper.

Where did you source the great boot rubber tray?

Be well

Jerry

That is a boot mat that you can buy from the dealer. It is meant to be placed in the middle compartment.

You can buy the mat for the top compartment from WeatherTech (picture below)

Cluman boot liner

Thanks for the fast reply. I was impressed in your video how supple the liner is. Could never tell from just a photo.

Gotta go and get one.

Thanks again for the video and contact,

Jerry
