Hello everyone!

I'm Danny and I'm new to the forums. I owned a Pure Silver, 2004 R50 up until yesterday.

I decided to upgrade. Went to Mini and bought myself a Chili Red 2011 Cooper S! Named her Zooey and will have pics soon.

The power and new car smell are both a bit overwhelming. Since it's my first turbo-charged vehicle, I'm wondering if anybody else (specifically '11 owners) have anything they would share as far as words of wisdom or things to look out for.

 

Words of wisdom.... Hmmm. OK I have one. if you keep reading this forum sooner or later you are going to mod your car. Just don't get carried away or your signature may look mine .

 

I've been looking at multiple mod websites since I posted this! I'm afraid of what kind of damage my checking account is in for!

 

How's that second gen s feel after the first gen justa?

 

I'm absolutely smitten to be honest. I love that I keep getting thrown into my seat every time I press the gas. I had my other for a little over 3 years and every day I dreamt of getting an S. Didn't know it would feel so different .

 

I have three turbo cars, one is a truck though, their great! Have fun with yours!

Congratulations! Incidentally my name is Danny and I also drive an R50, but was looking at an S at the dealership today.. haha. I was telling the SA, the one on the lot has the same color and stripes, my girlfriend might not even notice if I trade up... :D
