General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
Saw a Chili Red 1st gen S broke down on the side of the road on our way to Milton, Fl. On the return trip I saw a yellow S and another red S, both 2nd gens on a car transport more than likely headed to MINI of Pensacola.
From: I live in Webster, NY (just east of Rochester)
Sad Sad MINI
Parked next to a Silver '02 MINI at the gym today. It was beat to crap, big dent in the door, broken trim on drivers side windshield pillar, heavy rust around left tail light. Looked like it it hadn't been washed in ages .
Poor thing deserves a better owner, the current one sure doesn't care about it.
Today I saw a PW R50. This makes the third day in a row I've seen another MINI, that's odd, because I can count the other MINIs I've seen since I bought mine on my hands.

Why would you let your MINI get into that condition? It's a "destination" car, not just something you buy. I used to work with a guy who had a first generation Ford Focus that he let get instantly beat up. It had tons of scrapes and scratches, no wheelcovers, spidered windshield and both the interior and exterior looked as if it had just been pulled out of a swamp. All this on a three year old car. I don't understand why you would do that to any car but a Focus is just a car you get because you need a car. That's not what a MINI is.

Across the 6 way stop sign was a MINI that looked dead on mine. Black on black on black, xenons & fogs on. Since it looked like mine I have to say it looked really good ----
There's a chocolate brown Clubman in the parking lot where I work. The owner must be here for training because it doesn't belong to anyone who works here.
Here in Houston, I literally see 50 a day if not more of all ages/types/colors. I go to a nearby Whole Foods for lunch most weekdays and see an all black JCW coupe most days in the parking lot, but have never run into its owner on my way in or out of the store.
I used to keep up with 20+ a day in the local clubs threads. I don't do it if I don't get at least one wave though, and my memory has started to slip as a result of not tracking it as often.
Yesterday, I saw a totally custom job on the CA 118, exiting in the Valley around 5:30p. Some non-factory gun metal gray, with lime green roof and trim elements. It was definitely "you-ified". And by that, I mean "them-ified."
not counting the ones that are on the dealer lot directly next door and the 6 that colleagues drive, I saw:
DS MCS w/ Black Racing stripes (doppleganger)
PW MC driven by a very determined looking brunette
BRG MCS
