No Longer Own a 2008 Cooper...
Because I bought a 2009 factory JCW!!!
I saw it last Saturday, and I just had to have it. Drove 100 miles or so today, had a huge grin the whole time. Can't even describe the power difference between my old MC and my new JCW. It's in absolute perfect condition, with only 11,800 miles on it now. Not a scratch on it.
I loveeeeeee the pop & burble!!!! I never realized how awesome that would be.
I was planning on ordering one in the spring, and this one has every single option I would have ordered, besides the color. I saved a lot of money buying it slightly used so I figured, why not?
It's going to suck in the snow though!!!

Very sweet ride Clyde
I agree! I would seriously consider getting an old SUV (or whatever is cheap in your area) to thrash around in those infamous Buffalo winters. Save your JCW for the no-snow days.

Shucks, just put a set of Blizzaks on it and drive it. We've gotten some serious snow here in central Iowa the past couple of years, too, but not like Buffalo. Last December it seemed that we got 8" of snow ever three days for about three weeks. I drove my Miata everyday. Snow plows do work and just wait until they do their job.
Anyway, very nice car. Looks alot like one that I saw in West Chester last month that was two years old too, and Pepper White. It had a little over 5K on the clock. Really surprised me on the miles.

Thanks guys! I'm loving it. I never really pictured myself in Pepper White though, I can't decide what I want this thing to look like!
According to the Carfax, this thing just came from Boca Raton FL in May, so it's never seen a winter. I have a set of 17s that I used for my summer wheels on my MC, I'm going to put some winter tires on them and hope they fit.
I might just be used to it, but I really don't think Buffalo winters are really as bad as people say they are. There are a bunch of places in this state that get more snow than we do here- Ellicottville (WNY ski country), Syracuse, the Adirondacks, etc.. I think we still just have a bad rep from the blizzard of '77, and that was like 30 years before I learned how to drive.
I don't know how I lived without the Xenons though. I took it for a late night drive last night, I could see everything!

Welcome to the club. I live downstate from you near exit 14 of the Thruway. I have 17" Nitto Neogens on my car and they were great last winter. Perhaps just throw a dedicated set of winter wheels/tires on and you should be good to go.
very nice!!!
my only little suggestion would be beltline blackout and get some non-smoked side signals... its like there is dark where there should be light and light where there should be dark lol

I don't think I'm going to do anything to it till spring though. It's getting chilly!
I took it for another drive today, about 130 miles. Found some really cool windy roads that I never knew about. I averaged over 30 mpg the whole time too, and drove the car pretty hard the whole time.

The one that brought the entire Northeast to a standstill for close to 2 weeks was in '78. (Only emergency and military vehicles were allowed on the roads for 10 days after they were cleared.)

I guess the one you are referrng to may have been serious, but was more localized to your immediate area.

I also vaguely recall a monster of a storm in the news the year before and thinking gee, I'm glad I don't live there ...
