Help - How to install MINI gauge panel

Before any one has the chance to ask if I feel stupid, yes I do. With that out of the way, here is the problem. I can't make it fit behind the cup holders/lighter. Too tight, too wide, wants to pop out, etc. Help!!!

Kevin

Slide it in from the back. If I remember correctly I had to drill a hole or two in the center console to bolt it down.

What Gray Raven said. I did a trial fit, drilled 2 holes to attach to console then installed my gauges and reinstalled. Then i hooked up my wires. (Volts and oil temp) Hope this helps.

When I trial fit my panel I didn't like the way it was tilted back to the point that I couldn't see the gauges well nor did I like seeing a gap between the upper edge of the panel (not the top) and the downtube. I ended up making some beveled washers from some 1/4" thick plastic washers I had laying around and then ran my screws down through them into the console. That made the panel more vertical and it fits great.
