Check the Detailing 101 forum. Black Wow is a popular product with many MINI owners, but you'll find info on some other options as well.

White scuffs are usually wax that got on them. You can use peanutbutter to get that off.

Peanut Butter doesn't work...this only puts a very nice layer of OIL on top of your wax coated plastic. You'll have better luck with rubbing alcohol and a tooth brush, preferably not the one you use every day.

After the alcohol, black wow should make them look great.

Try a magic eraser. I use the walmart brand. They work like magic... The residue never returns and I haven't noticed any damage in the two years I've been using them.

The black plastic trim has "small" bumps all over the surface thereby trapping dirt and dust. To clean it, I just use a small scrub brush with fairly stiff plastic bristles and go over the trim with soapy water. One can purchased the brush at Wall-Mart in the kitchen section for around a dollar.

I've found that most products that are recommended to clean the trim have oils in it which only "mask" the dirt and makes it look good until one drives the vehicle down a dusty road - which is like EVERY road - paved or not!
