I have a Alta AP and it records performance data. Tonight was a nice cool night so I went out to see if I could better my times.
This was from a week ago. My best 60ft and 0-60 time

and my best 1/4 mile from a week ago

This is tonight. Same flat road. Lots of wheel spin but my 60 ft's have improved. Pretty good for a front wheel drive car. Not sure why my 0-60 didnt show up. This was my best 60 ft out of a half dozen runs

and my best 0-60

and my best 1/4 mile

All runs made with traction control off and in Sport mode. I had a full take of gas and I weigh 230 lbs. If I loose so weight and gas my times should be even better.

To put in into perspective this was my time slip from my '06 WRX Wagon. It had a STI turbo and intercooler and 3" Invidia catless downpipe and 3" Blitz catless exhaust with a Cobb Accessport. I launched about 5k and it spun all 4 tires for about 15 feet. Off topic but I r4eally miss that car. A true sleeper. It was great putting the smack down on guys with a SS Camaro. You should have seen the look on their face when they got beat by a station wagon.
my car was in the right lane here

That 60' time is very impressive! Best I did was like a 2.4
I was able to get a 5.6 0-60 but the 60' on that one was 2.6!
Seems like we should be able to break a 5 sec 0-60 when your 60' gets to 2 secs or lower.
Maybe it's time for some drag slicks =)

Just did my run...78 degrees on flat empty road. 0-60 4.660. Sorry for the bad pic...took after run.

That was the only run I did...I was surprized as well. I honestly did not modify the pic or ap in anyway. Car is fast...feels faster than my g37s. I may get it on a dyno this or next week.
I may try another run again tmrw...

i don't see why a stage 3 mcs would not be able to do 4.6 seconds, especially with a great launch. everybody who has been trying to get the best times for these cars are still having problems keeping traction, thats the hardest part. otherwise, these cars are fast.
however, another run or a dyno would be very appreciated. thanks for the post nkatsim!

Very optimistic......
Especially considering he has a Cooper S?
Numbers wise, the tuned JCW's that are making 250whp or more, are definitely sub-5.0 sec 0-60 cars....but doing that in real life is a whole 'nother ball game.
The power numbers you need to get 4.6 0-60, make it more difficult to actually acheive that time. You'll just be spinning....as I'm quickly finding out

I think people underestimate how hard it is to get mid 4 second 0-60 times in a ANY car, let alone a fwd one... for example a 2011 GT goes 0-60 in a 4.4-4.6 range depending on gearing... and thats rwd with over 400hp... sorry but I just don't see it happening in a Mini on street tires.
You have to take those 0-60 and 1/4 mile calculators with a grain of salt, your gonna be hard pressed to get good measurements unless your at the track or running a VBOX
