I cannot find anything about the Navigation System my dealer is offering for $2,000, on the official Mini website. Can anyone tell me why that is, and where I can get information on it? Thanks.

 

There's a brand new navigation system for 2011 and not much information has been released. What's known is that the maps will be stored in flash memory and updated through the USB (no more DVD map discs). I don't think you can order Navigation without MINI Connected, and MINI Connected won't be released until around the end of the year. MotoringFile has been reporting a price of $1750 for the combination of navigation and MINI Connected. Where did you see $2000? It might be the outdated 2010 price.

 

I have a R53-2005. When I bought it new I had the Nav system put in for 1500. The system has failed and the price quote to replace it was a little over 4000. OUCH---Why??
can I get the mini connect new system put in??
