Neoprene Seat Covers?

When I get my 2011 MCS, I'm planning on getting some custom Neoprene seat covers to give my interior a little custom flair...
Does anyone here have Wet Okole Hawaii seat covers? How do you like them? They are pricey but seem pretty legit...designed to work with seat mounted airbags, fire retardant, etc.

Nice but I also find neoprene to be hot in the summer . . . doesn't breath well.

wet suit material ya know . . .

i found them a little sweaty too and it took a while for the horrible smell to wear off. would never consider getting them again. i'd suggest you look at cloth seat covers and if that doesn't cut it, maybe some custom leather.

I have the Wet Okole covers. Yes, they are pricey, but they fit beautifully and look great. The off-gassing lasted little more than a week, so that isn't a real consideration. They clean up very well with kids and anything else you throw at them. They are not breathable. Nor were the original seats. They add a bit of cushion if that's important.

All in all, I would do it again. I prefer the punch black leather on my previous Mini, but having said that, I didn't get perforated leather on this car and the Wet Okoles are bright (red hibiscus design) and extremely durable.

Before I put the Recaros in my car, I put these covers on my seats.

They were great for protecting the seat but like others have mentioned, they could get a little warm.

Just had a set of CR Neoprenes from Coverking, but sent them back for an exchange. Very nice seat covers, fit very well. But found the thickness of them made the seatbelt issue (between the door and the seat when extending and retracting) go from annoying to pain in the butt! Waiting on the return RMA to get there, and having the Spacer Mesh covers sent to me.

That's where I got mine from. I actually opened an acct to be a vendor and through word of mouth I was selling them to members at cost. (seat covers and car covers)

I quit selling seat covers because when I washed my yellow/black covers the first time, they kind of darkened like the color bled.

It wasn't a big deal cause it was so minor but I didn't feel like having to warranty something that I sold at cost.

What size do you order if you get the Spacer mesh, they have all kinds of options to choose and then I read that if you have the side airbags you need them custom fit. Are the Coverking considered custom? I have a 2011 Cooper hard top. Any info on this would be helpful, been looking glad you all posted about the neoprene being hot.

The seat covers will be fine with heated seats. Lumbar ***** are (at least on the countryman) ***** on the side of the seat that faces the center of the car, about half way up the backrest. You turn it to increase or decrease the lumbar support.

I know everything I saw on line for Wet Okole said 'without lumbar *****' but I went down to the local store here and they said the seat covers will come with cutouts for the ***** so they are still usable.

I have the Wet Okoles and love love love them!! They did smell for about four or five days, it went away. No worse than the 'new car smell'. I consider them to be one of the best investments in keeping my car looking good. Everyone remarks on how awesome they look!

I know when I had my F150 there were lots on the boards that had their seat covers and loved them.

How did the spacer mesh fit? Does it look decent and is the durability good? I was looking at their ballistic covers and the mesh ones.

I wanted to go with the Neoprene ones from Moss Mini but it seems they're done selling parts. Did they carry the cover kings as well? Or were they from another company?

Thanks!

Wet Okeles are amazing ! They made the factory leatherette seats worlds better for me

I absolutely love the seat covers because they stay cool in the summer unlike the factory leather seats in my 2012 MCS which are a hot sweat inducing mess.
The factory leatherette was burning hot after just a couple of hours in the sun and forget about sitting on them with shorts on.
I am baffled by the comments to the contrary in other posts.
We wound up buying them for my wife's Mercedes as well because her leather seats were unbearably hot in the summer.
We can now jump right into her car after it has been in the summer sun all day even while wearing shorts. The neoprene feels cool on the legs.
I'm pretty sure there is a thin cloth over the neoprene because my wet suits never felt this cool.

I also love the extra padding since the seats don't have much at all.
I was actually considering aftermarket seats until I found these covers.
I opted for the inflatable lumbar supports as well and I am glad that I did.

I had a little problem with the stitching on my seat and Wet Okole took care of it pretty quickly. Great communication and great service.
They are a bit expensive but I wouldn't go with any other company.
Their fit and finish is absolutely gorgeous.

I can honestly say they will be the first thing I buy for any car we purchase in the future.

Here is a pic.

I have them and the heat comes through just fine.
They actually make the leatherette seats much better.
