Integrating phone into factory radio?

I have been searching around, and possibly I'm just not using the right search words. I can't really find anything about how to integrate a phone into the factory radio. I mean, someone must have tried this already.

I have uncovered so far, that the factory radio has a Telephone Mode control (enable Tel mode) on the large flat pin connector, "A", on pin 11. Also, on the smaller connector, "C", there is mono telephone audio input between pins 6 and 12.

Do this connections really work? Or are they "crippled" by MINI (or BMW)?

Also, I think I found a wiring harness, #QCBMW-F, that would allow one to tap into these connections without cutting up the factory harness. Has anyone actually used one of these? It is difficult from the small pics of it, to tell if it is really the correct one for a MINI factory radio.

Any help, references, or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I integrated my phone on my '02 MCS by purchasing a Garmin GPS that has a built in MP3 player, FM transmitter and Bluetooth. Having these option allows me to listen my music that on the SD card, hear GPS directions and my phone all through the factory stereo. No wiring is required since it is transmitted to the stereo through a FM frequency.

Do you have a link to the harness or pics to show what you're talking about? I recently added the aux input to the back of the factory stereo, and I'd be interested in learning how to add a second one...

Here's a link to the pinout reference I am using.

Just note that the phone audio input is MONO.
