Any benefit to tuning after adding a cat back?

I plan on getting my car modded ('06 R53) and tuned this weekend. A M7 16%, plugs, and tune. I was hoping my cat back system would be here in time, but it looks like it's not going to be. If I add the cat back after the tune, will i see anything significantly different/lower power wise than if I waited and tuned after adding the exhaust? Obvioulsy, it would be best to tune after the exhaust, but I hate to re-schedule my tune again. What are your thoughts?

Go ahead and tune it now. The cat-back won't make a difference.

tune

As Jimmini sez~~~makes no diff. Tho it would be cool to dyno after the tune and again after the exhaust . What about the C.A.I. ?? IF you've not done this you're makin a mistake. Also make sure to add a tensioner stop w /the pulley along w /the right size belt as they SHOULD ALL go together. OBEY

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I wanted to here. I figured the cat back only adds a small amount of power, so it probably wouldn't drastically change the tune.

I already have a CAI and I'm getting the smaller belt and other accoutrement for the pulley. Man I can't wait for this tune!!!

Now to decide if a cat back is even worth it.....hmph.

exhaust

Don't disavow the old addage of what goes in MUST come out !! The cat-back is IMPERATIVE !! With your location you might look for one thats been used and shipping IS a problem. You can save a lot by going this route ; do a search here~~ theres probabally 2 or 3 right now. Noise IS basically power but you need to keep in mind whats acceptable to you (and de cops) let alone the neighbors . OBEY

There are only a few in my area that are in my price range, but not as many as I would hope. I'm looking for something like the JCW that's not going to be annoyingly loud. There are also some Megan look alike cat-back systems that are super cheap, but from my experience you usually get what you pay for. I'm trying to work out a deal with a guy, but the system has 30k on it (~2.5 yrs of use) and its about 200 mi away. I'm guessing shipping will be about $80-100. I guess we'll see.
