Tire Size Question

Can somebody tell me if tire size 225/60 R 16 will work on the rear of a 2004 Mini Cooper S. The front tires will be the 195/55 R 16 continental run-flats. Thank you.

that would be a problem....for several reasons:

1. the 225/60 diameter will differ significantly from the 195
2. the 225/60 will raise the rear axle significantly
3. the resulting handling would be unpredictable

honestly not recommended to mix and match brands and dimensions front to rear - you don't want any surprises if you ever have to do a quick lane change, or bend the car into a ramp...

It would also drive the TPMS insane, and the little warning triangle would most likely melt and set the entire dashboard on fire. Well, maybe not, but the TPMS would be very offended.

And they'd probably rub, too.
