I'm looking at a used MCS and want to research the VIN on what is exactly loaded on the car. Is there a link out there to look up the VIN or do I have to call the local Mini dealer?

 

Calling/visiting the dealer is your best bet. 866-ASK-MINI might be able to help, but they might not give out the information since it's not your car.

 

If you just wanted to know what came on the car from the factory call a dealer. Give them the last 7 of the VIN and they'll be able to print out what's called an ASAP report.

Or if ya want PM your email and the last 7 of the VIN I'll do it for ya.

After getting many requests I have started a new thread found (here).

Although it looks like most NAM members already know their options considering no has posted in it.

 

I dont know if they charge for it but a VIN decoding is pretty easy for a dealer to do.
