Foglight install. OEM Toggle possible?

Hey Everyone,

I am installing foglights/driving lights in the bottom holes of my bumper cover and I was wondering if I could just pick up a toggle switch from MINI and install it after taking the toggle bank off and drilling the necessary holes?

If anyone could point me to a thread where someone has done this, I would greatly appreciate it!

MINI only sells the complete toggle bank, not individual switches. In any case, they are not traditional toggle switches and don't directly control anything. The switches are momentary (don't stay on) and function more like keys on a PC keyboard that merely tell the computer that something has been pressed.

People have drilled out an empty toggle location and installed their aux input jack there.

You should be able to do the same and install a standard toggle switch into a blank location. GBMINI has pictures of the inside of the toggle panel:
