Chewing Gum on Wheel Arches

Anyone know how to remove chewing gum from the black, plastic wheel arches? I obviously don;t want to rub it off

On previous cars I have utilized the "goo gone" gel.. works well. But Stoners sells a bug/tar remover that is safe for bumpers ect.

Use an ice cube to harden it up, then rub it off by rolling it up?

I used Goo Gone on the side of my car for chewing gum with good results, but when I got against the wheel arch a little, black wound up on my rag. Kinda scary. Let us know how it comes out.

Gum,aarghh !!!!!! No kidding. First Mini for me. I have owned countless other vehicles and for some reason this thing is like a magnet for gum on the tires and wheel arches. I tried goo gone and it does appear to be leaving some discoloration or the rubbing does one of the two. Will try the ice cube trick and see how that does.

Ok, here's the deal... I used Gunk (silicone spray) and a non lint cloth and it worked great. Thanks for all the suggestions.
